Travel to Santa Fe

Below you will find helpful information for planning your trip to New Mexico. We highly recommend booking your travel to Santa Fe at this time, as summer is the peak tourist season, and flights and hotels fill up quickly.

Transportation

Santa Fe can be reached by air into Albuquerque International Sunport or via Amtrak trains (www.amtrak.com) into Lamy, NM (20 minutes south of Santa Fe). Shuttles are available from both of these locations. Also, the Santa Fe municipal airport offers six flights in and out of Santa Fe daily (to/from Denver only), on Great Lakes Aviation, 800-554-5111. In general, itineraries flying into Santa Fe are significantly more expensive than flying into Albuquerque. The municipal airport is located about 15 minutes west of Santa Fe, and taxis and car rentals are available.

Continental Airlines

Shuttle service to Santa Fe is available from the Albuquerque International Sunport by Sandia Shuttle Express, 888-775-5696, or Santa Fe Shuttle/Herrera, 888-833-2300. Shuttles are hourly to and from Albuquerque and deliver directly to most hotels. Round-trip tickets are about $40-45.
